grateful
Can you believe it's November already? It seems so crazy to me that the year is almost gone. For those of us in the US, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving in just a few short weeks. I always look forward to a day full of family and yummy food. ;)
This week's new releases can be easily used for Thanksgiving layouts and even your general Fall photos. I love the rich colors of the season and tried to incorporate them into these kits. Both Grateful and Grateful WordArt coordinate perfectly with my Scalloped Cardstock Packs 1 & 2. You will also find a new template this week - Simple Starts No. 9.
Also, Two Peas in a Bucket announced a Digital Creative Team Call. So, if you're a digital or hybrid papercrafter make sure you check it out! The deadline for applications is Nov. 13th.
On the home-front.....We are passing around a stomach virus/ cold. I don't know that's it's H1N1 but I suppose that it could be. So far, no high fevers. I came down with the stomach part of it yesterday afternoon. It was really weird, unlike the "traditional" stomach flu. I was, well, still am honestly, very nauseous and have this horrible headache. I spent all afternoon and evening yesterday in bed. Nick had the same thing a couple of days ago. I also have sinus congestion, a bit of a sore throat and just general body ache. I have a feeling that it's going to be a very rough winter in our house. *sigh*
I shared this on Facebook this morning but wanted to post it here too....
Yesterday afternoon, I came down with a stomach virus and spent all evening in bed. This morning, I woke up to a post-it note on my laptop from my "little" Nick..... "Mom, I'm sorry you're sick. I mopped and vacuumed the kitchen. I wiped the stove, microwave and fridge. Hope you feel better."
How precious is that? I couldn't ask for sweeter kids. Well, I hope everyone is staying well out there....or at least on the way to getting better. Have a great Tuesday!Tuesday, October 27, 2009
Yay for Tuesday!
Have you noticed a theme on my blog every Tuesday? Tuesday's are "new digital kit release day" @ two peas. I've been a 2peas Digital Designer for 5 weeks now and am loving every minute of it. I think that I found my passion in designing. It's something I really enjoy.
This week I released two Scalloped Cardstock packs for you. They come in rich Fall colors in both square and circle backgrounds.
As always, I would love to hear what you are looking for in digital kits. I want to create kits that are useful and exciting to you.
I'll leave you with a layout that I made awhile back but didn't get a chance to post here on my blog.

it's over....
...the worst of my gall bladder experience that is. I had my surgery a week ago last Friday and am feeling much better after a week of recovery. I won't lie, it was painful, much more painful than I was anticipating actually. I really thought that after 4 invasive c-sections this laparoscopic surgery would be a walk in the park. Yeah, well, not so much. ;) Anyway, I won't complain. It's done and I'm healing so...yay! Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers!
I realized I didn't post my mid-month Two Peas Garden Girl layouts yet so I thought I'd share today. :)

ack! computer crash...
Yesterday I got the blue screen of death. After several hours of attempting to do system restores at many different points....I gave in and did a full system restore and wiped my computer. Right now I am trying to load my backup files and re-install all of my software. Not a fun task BUT thank goodness I've been keeping regular backups of everything. phew. So a friendly reminder - back up your files!!! I cannot stress that enough. I've had several crashes and have been very fortunate.
This past Tuesday, I released Simple Starts No. 7 and my very first paper pack - Embossed Dots. you can find all of my previous templates here in my 2peas store. I'm very excited to start creating paper/embellishment kits along with my templates. If there's anything in specific you would like to see, make sure to let me know. I'd love to hear your ideas. :)
Tomorrow is my "long awaited" gall bladder surgery. I have mixed emotions I suppose. I don't want to have to go through the surgery and recovery but I do want to start feeling better. It's a bit of a catch 22. ;)
I probably won't be updating my blog again until the middle/end of next week. Make sure to take a peek at the 2peas digital store next Tuesday. I will have 3 new releases- the first two of a new line of templates called "Whitespace" and a new mini kit called "Sugar & Spice".
I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week and a refreshing weekend! :)

Andrew Update
Supplies: Jen Allyson Spot Color - Cool Colors Elements, Stickers, Papers 1, 2 & 3. Font - 2peas Champagne. 2peas Sept. Super Sketch.
My sweet little man. It's hard to believe he was ever that tiny. He is now a few short months away from turning 3 years old.
I just realized that it's been awhile since I posted an update on Andrew. For those of you not familiar with his condition - he is a cranio kid (craniosynostosis), which was surgically corrected when he was 4 months old. He has been recently diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder. He is doing well. He is making quite a bit of progress with his speech. He continues to learn signs for words that he has difficulty with. We now have speech therapy once a week, occupational therapy once a month and a nutritionist also comes to visit once a month. He has grown much more social and enjoys activities at church and with other children. No luck yet on the potty training front. ;)
On the scrapping front.....I have been a busy woman. I am busy making projects for 2peas and designing my own digital kits and templates for my new store. It's been such a fun learning process. Can I just say - Photoshop is incredible! There is just so much to learn. For me, that's the fun part of it all. I love to get to that "a-ha!" moment where everything just clicks. This Tuesday I will be releasing Simple Starts Template No. 7 and a new paper kit called Embossed Dots. *hint* Do you like the paper that I used in the Sweet Baby layout for this week's 2peas Digital Weekly Challenge? ;)
Speaking of Tuesday, I am hosting the weekly digital chat at 2peas! Come join me at 1pm CST and we'll discuss the weekly challenge and just chit-chat for the hour!
